How we did it at Ripal and Heat
Ripal
For Ripal we built the layer between the shop floor and the existing ERP: warehouse app, scanner, customer portal and driver links. The ERP stayed in place.
Heat
For Heat Catering we built a platform that brings requests, quotes and event planning together, with invoicing through Billit. The team follows every file in one environment.

There are two kinds. One makes a single package and sells it to many customers. The other builds custom software for one company, around how that company works. Hubigen is the second: we analyse your processes, build what is missing and connect it to the systems that keep running.
Look at what they have already built and whether it is still running, ask who owns the code once it is finished, and notice whether they tell you honestly when a package will do. A good sign is a partner who first wants to know how you work before talking about technology. Our cases show what we built and how it is used today.
A freelancer can suit a clearly defined assignment. For business-critical software, you also discuss management, handover and support. Assess those agreements with every potential partner.
That depends on what it needs to do and which systems it talks to. We work with a fixed price per phase, so you know up front what a phase costs and what it delivers, and decide yourself after each phase whether we carry on.
No. We are based in Jabbeke and work a lot in Bruges, Kortrijk, Ostend and Ghent, but beyond that too. Most of the work happens digitally. For the intake, we are happy to come by once.
