Heat

Custom platform

What is a web application?

Software in your browser. No installation, on any device.

A web application is software you open like a website, but that works like a program: you enter data, look things up and work together.

01

No installation

Your team logs in through the browser. Nothing needs to be installed or updated.

02

On any device

On a screen at the office, on a tablet in the warehouse, on a phone on the road.

03

Always the latest version

A change reaches everyone straight away, without anyone having to do anything.

04

One place for your data

Everyone works in the same system, so nobody retypes anything.

05

Roles and permissions

Everyone sees exactly what they need: your team, your customers or your partners.

Examples

Examples of a web application.Already running today.

From enquiry to quote, event and run sheet in one system, with the margin built in. That is how Heat runs.

Approach

A web application, phase by phase. From idea to launch.

For each phase we record what we build, what is out of scope and how we discuss changes.

01

Getting to know you

Half an hour on what you want to build and where things chafe today. No pitch, no obligation.

02

Proposal per phase

What we would build, in what order, with a fixed price per phase.

03

A first working piece

We build out the agreed flow and gather feedback. Then we discuss the next step.

04

Live with your own data

History and open files come along. After that we stay available for whatever comes next.

Proof, not promises

Web applications that run.At clients, every day.

Platforms that replaced separate tools, spreadsheets and mailboxes.

In practice

How we did it at Huppa

For Huppa we built a web application with content planning, product sheets, flip-through leaflets and dashboards. The management of the multilingual website and the trade fair registration also connect to that environment.

Questions

What clients ask us.About web applications, lead times and data.

Software you open in the browser, like a website, but that works like a program: you enter data, look things up, approve and work together. Nothing needs to be installed, it works on any device and a change reaches everyone straight away.

A website tells, a web application does. A website shows information to visitors. A web application is a working tool: your team, your customers or your partners log in and do their work in it, each with the screens and permissions that fit their role.

For most business processes a web application is enough: it also works on tablets and phones, without anyone having to install anything. A mobile app from the App Store mainly pays off if you rely heavily on the camera, notifications or offline work for a large audience. If you are unsure, we will tell you honestly what suits you.

The schedule depends on the features, integrations, data migration and feedback. We first discuss the first version and what information it needs.

That depends on how much goes into it and which systems we connect to. We work with a fixed price per phase, so you know where you stand up front and decide after each phase whether we continue.

Offline entry can be part of the scope. Data is then stored on the device and becomes available to the office after syncing once there is a connection. We decide which features need to work offline.

The web application is yours, including the code and the data. Your data is stored on European servers, encrypted and with daily backups, and you can export it at any time.
